TIMMY G TATTOO

Custom tattoos with precision, passion, and personality.

About Me.

My tattoo story so far...

Hi, I’m a professional tattoo artist originally from beautiful New Zealand, and I’ve been tattooing for nearly 14 years.

My journey began in 2011 in Wellington, where I had the opportunity to work in some of the city’s top tattoo studios. Over the years, I honed my craft, collaborated with amazing artists, and eventually opened and ran my own private studio for three years.

In 2019, I moved to Augsburg, Germany, where I continued my tattooing career in two well-established studios before setting up my own private space in the heart of the city. Today, I work exclusively from this studio; offering a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where quality and client comfort come first.

I specialise in Traditional, Neo-Traditional, and Japanese styles, and more recently, I’ve been exploring Black & Grey Realism. That said, I’m always happy to work across a wide range of styles and custom designs.

I consider every tattoo a collaboration between the client and the artist, and I always strive to create something we’re both truly proud of. Your input, ideas, and comfort are essential to the process, and my goal is to make sure you leave with not just a great tattoo, but a great experience too.

Whether you’re looking for something bold and classic or soft and intricate, I’ll work closely with you to bring your vision to life—always with attention to detail, respect for the craft, and a genuine love for what I do.

All styles, all smiles. If you’re happy, I’m happy.

Let’s create something awesome together!

A tattoo artist with a beard and hair tied in a bun is intensely focused as he works on a large back tattoo for a client lying face-down on a padded table. The tattoo, still in progress, features intricate linework covering most of the client's back. The artist is wearing black gloves and a dark t-shirt that says "NACHO." His arms are heavily tattooed. The room is decorated with framed artwork and tattoo designs on the walls, contributing to the studio's creative atmosphere.

Japanese.

Bold symbolism, timeless tradition...

Japanese tattoos, or irezumi, are rich in tradition and symbolism, featuring detailed, flowing designs with bold outlines and vibrant colors. Common themes include koi fish, dragons, tigers, cherry blossoms, and mythological figures, often representing strength, protection, or perseverance. These tattoos typically cover large areas like the back, arms, or legs, blending imagery seamlessly into a cohesive, storytelling piece.

Step into a centuries-old tradition with a Japanese-style tattoo that tells your story. Inspired by rich folklore and timeless symbolism, these bold, detailed designs connect you to a legacy of meaning, strength, and beauty—crafted just for you, with respect for the art and its history.

American Traditional.

Bold will Hold...

American traditional tattoos are known for their bold black outlines, limited color palette, and iconic imagery like eagles, roses, skulls, and anchors. With a flat, 2D look and strong symbolism rooted in patriotism and bravery, this timeless style—popularized by artists like Sailor Jerry—remains a classic choice that ages well.

Step into a bold legacy with an American Traditional tattoo that speaks your truth. Rooted in old-school rebellion and timeless icons, these strong-lined, punchy designs carry stories of freedom, grit, and individuality—crafted with honor for the heritage that started it all.

Neotraditional.

Classic style, modern edge...

Neo-traditional tattoos blend the bold lines and classic themes of American traditional with more modern elements like richer color palettes, detailed shading, and intricate designs. They often feature animals, portraits, or nature-inspired motifs with a stylized, illustrative look, offering a vibrant and expressive update to the old school style.

Step into a world where classic meets contemporary with a Neo-Traditional tattoo that tells your story. Rich in color, detail, and depth, these designs blend timeless motifs with modern flair—bold, expressive artwork rooted in tradition but made uniquely yours.

Black and Grey Realism.

Lifelike detail, pure contrast...

Black and grey realism tattoos focus on lifelike detail, using only black ink and varying shades of grey to create depth and dimension. Often based on portraits, nature, or religious imagery, this style emphasizes smooth shading and fine lines to achieve a realistic, almost photographic look. It’s known for its subtlety, precision, and timeless elegance.

Step into a world of depth and detail with a Black and Grey Realism tattoo that brings your story to life. From lifelike portraits to surreal scenes, these finely shaded designs capture emotion, memory, and meaning—crafted with precision, patience, and pure black ink.

Tim is a great guy and a super talented illustrator. Not only that, he is a technician when it comes to the actually applying tattoos. I know this because he visited our shop in Canada and knocked our socks off with this work ethic and great attitude towards clients. Get tattooed by Tim! You won’t regret it.
